This Islington house extension transforms a property on Gibson Square, a Grade II listed garden square in Barnsbury. The works included an extension at lower ground floor and full refurbishment of the existing spaces.

The challenge at lower ground floor was to create flexible spaces for work, which could also be converted to guest bedrooms when required. This was achieved with fold out beds integrated into new joinery, and a compact guest bathroom. Large format terrazzo tiles unite the entire floor.
