A contemporary side extension and refurbishment of a detached 1960’s Georgian style house.
The brief was to design a contemporary home with an open plan living area to maximise useful space and to allow plenty of daylight in.
A strong visual connection to the rear garden was also important.
The upper floors were reconfigured to create larger rooms and additional ensuite bathrooms.
An open plan dining/ kitchen area showing an effective use of space. Bespoke radiators were considered as features throughout the spaces. High quality finishes provide a durable, long lasting interior for a modern busy family.
Visual connectivity through the open plan spaces
Strong visual connection to the outside garden, allowing as much daylight in as possible
Useful storage that also divides the living room from the dining area
Keeping the interior minimal and light punctuated with strong feature colours
